Wordless Wednesday: The Boy’s First “Real” Soccer Game

The Boy had his first “real” soccer game today, which really meant that the kids were playing a game of 3-on-3 instead of practicing drills.

I parked myself on the grass a good distance from the designated soccer field among a few other parents, my trusty camera (equipped with its telephoto lens) around my neck so I could capture some pictures of The Boy.

While watching the game, I realized a few things: The Boy has good skills, but he needs to practice keeping the ball under control while he dribbles; The Boy takes sports very seriously, evidenced by his annoyance at the other (younger) kids who weren’t playing properly; and I got into watching the game a bit much and don’t think I should be allowed to watch him play games at any higher level than this.
