The Boy is growing up so fast. It’s absolutely incredible to see how much he’s grown in the past 6 and a half months. It’s crazy!
Yesterday, the weather was a little cooler than usual and very overcast, so I wanted to dress him in pants with a long-sleeved shirt. As an added bonus, one of my sister’s friends passed along this Polo shirt, and it was just the right size for The Boy. So I dressed him in his cords again (I need to get him some jeans – I don’t have a lot of pants in his current size!) and his work boots, too.
After I brushed his teeth (yes, “teeth” as in plural of “tooth”, as the two bottom ones are quite evident now) and combed his hair, I was struck by how much he looks like a little man now, not just a baby. [sigh]
And then I had to take pictures. Thankfully he was quite cooperative.
I’m more than a little sad because I’ve fallen way behind on his baby books. I have Months One through Four done, but here we are, halfway through Month Seven, and I haven’t even begun Month Five. I need to take a weekend and just get it done, but with more teething, Cute Husband being sick, and constant surprises being thrown my way, it’s been so hard to find time. Plus The Boy has discovered the joys of pounding on the keyboard. Maybe I’ll be able to find the energy to sit up one night this weekend while the baby sleeps and work on the books.
Here’s hoping, anyway.
